Theres a difference between changeing the gender of our characters and announcing that the CR is leaving for a different role and going as far as to then announce an event for it aswell.

Hmmm, I'm leaning towards April Fool's Joke now. Mainly because Andrew Patrick was reading this thread for about 5 pages worth of posts and never replied. If it was for real you would think he would at least reply and state that it's not a joke.
